Advanced Technology

We are pleased to use state-of-the-art dental technology here at Woodland Hills Dental Care when providing your care. These technologies make it possible for Dr. Khoshroozeh to provide you with faster and more accurate diagnoses, more precise treatments and a higher quality of care.

Digital X-Rays

In the past, most dental professionals had to use the traditional x-ray systems, which require film development. These days, we use digital x-rays due to their many benefits. A digital x-ray is safer and much quicker than its film predecessor. If the image comes out blurry, we can instantly retake a new one. Digital x-rays are a crucial diagnostic tool that helps us gain a better understanding of the inner workings of your mouth, more specifically the teeth, roots, and alveolar bone.

Itero Intraoral Camera

3D CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) Scans

We use the latest dental technology at Woodland Hills Dental Care, including 3D CBCT scans. This scan provides more accurate images of the mouth, teeth, jaw bone density, soft tissues, and nerves in the craniofacial region in one scan. This helps us for more accurate diagnoses and to treat dental and oral surgery conditions. Traditional film and x-ray methods do not provide the level of detail or accuracy that CBCT does.

This scan is only used for certain surgical cases because it does transmit more radiation than other digital x-rays; however, the benefits of this scan outweigh the risks.

CBCT is commonly used in more complex dental implant cases.

Itero Intraoral Scanner

Woodland Hills Dental Care is pleased to feature the iTero® intraoral scanner at our practice and other alternative options. This cutting-edge dental device allows our dentists to view high-quality images of your mouth and more easily detect problems that may threaten your oral health.

The iTero intraoral scanner is a state-of-the-art dental technology that produces three-dimensional images of the inside of your mouth. iTero technology works rapidly, capturing up to 20 images per second in full color, making it easy for our dentists to distinguish healthy tissues from infected tissues and other alternative options. Images captured by this device are often used to create oral appliances that fit and function more effectively. The iTero machine can even simulate treatment outcomes to show you what the results of your treatment should look like!
